SAI Platform provides a unique opportunity to share thinking on sustainable agricultural issues impacting the food value chain. With access to guest speakers, pilot projects and field visits a membership provides valuable knowledge to build on your organisation’s sustainability strategies.
Benefits of membership
The Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform Australia has a diverse membership covering primary producers, processors, manufacturers, researchers, retailers and service providers. Our strength lies in our full supply chain representation.
The annual program is designed to meet the needs of members. Members benefit from their participation by:
- Collaborating with peers in a pre-competitive environment
- Building partnerships and alliances
- Learning from each other and experts
- Piloting new research programs - jointly or individually
- Developing new thinking
- Leveraging the global SAI Platform.
Members meet quarterly, or more frequently as required, around Australia. In addition, each year, we undertake field visits to learn firsthand the progress being made in sustainable agriculture.
For more information, please take a look at our 2021 Members Prospectus publication.
Expectation of members
We ask that members be committed to supporting improved agricultural sustainability outcomes in their field of influence and have or will develop plans to achieve such outcomes. We also expect them to be active participants in discussions and forums to contribute to the goals of the Platform.
Costs of membership
Membership is available on a low cost annual subscription fee and members pay individually to participate in field trips and research projects on a cost-recovery basis.
